I hereby prohibit all Catholics henceforth from attending all religious and liturgical activities of the Catholic Adoration Ministry

In line with the recent utterance of Rev. Fr. Ejike Camillus Mbaka, the Catholic Bishop of the Diocese of Enugu, His Lordship, Most Rev. Callistus V.C. Onaga ordered that all Catholics desists from attending Fr. Mbaka's adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria.

On Wednesday, June 15, 2022, Fr. Mbaka was dragged for calling Mr. Peter Gregory Obi, the Presidential Flag bearer of the Labour Party, in the oncoming 2023 elections in Nigeria, as 'stingy.'

In line with this, amidst many other accusations, Catholics, especially in the Diocese of Enugu had been ordered in a letter signed by the Catholic Bishop of Enugu, to steer clear of Fr. Mbaka's Adoration Ministry, until due canonical process initiated by the Diocese of Enugu is concluded.

See beneath the contents of the Letter

In the light of the happenings in the Catholic Adoration Ministry Chaplaincy Enugu capable of undermining the Catholic faith and teachings; and after several fraternal corrections and admonitions to Fr. Camillus Ejike Mbaka, the Chaplain of the Ministry Chaplaincy, which he persistently violated; and in the fulfillment of my pastoral duties as the Chief Shepherd with the obligation to promote and safeguard the Catholic faith and morals in Enugu Diocese, I hereby prohibit all Catholics (clergy, religious and lay faithful) henceforth from attending all religious and liturgical activities of the Catholic Adoration Ministry until the due canonical process initiated by the Diocese is concluded.

My decision is based on the fact that some of the teachings and utterances of Fr. Camillus Ejike Mbaka at the Catholic Adoration Ministry are not consistent with the teachings and faith of the Catholic Church.

I enjoin all the Christian faithful to keep praying for Fr. Mbaka and the Catholic Diocese of Enugu as I entrust him and the Diocese to the maternal care and protection of the blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of the Apostles.

Fraternally Yours in Christ,
Signed
Callistus V. C. Onaga.
BISHOP OF ENUGU.

Fr. Mbaka  was accused of utterances that does not promote the Catholic faith, like referring to the Altar as 'my Altar,' which made people question if the Altar is no longer God's Altar but his own. He was also said to have sold Recharge Call Cards at one time, where people would buy whichever amount they want, seeking the Man of God's appointment. to their dismay instead, an AI(Artificial Intelligence) will put a call through to those who had bought the Card with a pre-recorded voice of Fr. Mbaka saying things like "you are blessed, your family is blessed, your business is blessed' and your purchased will be reducing. The Airtime is said to have different denominations like 200 Naira, 1000 Naira, where the higher the denomination you buy, the more the days of calls you receive.

The Bishop implored all Christian faithful to keep Fr. Mbaka and the Diocese of Enugu in prayers as he commend him to the maternal care and protection of Our Lady Queen of Apostles.

Rev. Fr. Kelvin Ugwu, a Nigerian Priest working in Malawi implored the faithful in one of his Facebook Post not to take pleasure in the fall of any Priest, because the Devil can strike the Shepherd, so as to scatter the Sheep.
