Rev. Fr. Christopher Nnamani, OP.

Dearest Devotee of St. Jude Thaddeus, Shalom!

It has been four years since I came to experience with you the nearness of God through the powerful intercession of our Wonder Worker – St. Jude Thaddeus. During this time, your faith challenged me. Your devotion to St. Jude Thaddeus inspired me. Within this time, I experienced countless miracles on account of St. Jude’s intercession. With my personal experience of St. Jude’s intercession, my conviction about the privilege God accorded to him to bring speedy help where help is almost despaired of is no longer on account of hear-say but based on my encounter. Working as the Director of the St. Jude Apostolate, my life and spirituality have been positively impacted such that wherever I am today, wherever I go tomorrow, I take devotion to Jude Thaddeus with me.

My fellow devotee, I write to thank you for always being there. It is because you are there that our devotion to St. Jude has continued to spread. It is because you are there that our novena to St. Jude is now streamed live. It is because you are there that we reach out to you through the I Believe Series and the Just a Minute videos. Thank you for being there!

The St. Jude Apostolate founded by Late Rev. Bro Stephen Lucas, OP is run by the Dominican Province of St. Joseph the Worker, Nigeria, and Ghana. The Apostolate is a crusade of prayer to care for the spiritual needs of the devotees and also to help in the training of young Dominicans to the priesthood. Along the line, for the apostolate to focus on its spiritual mandate, and for the training of young Dominicans to be given its needed attention, the Apostolate gave birth to the Society for Vocation Support (SVS). At the just-concluded Provincial Elective Chapter (July 20 – August 16, 2021), I have been appointed to direct the office of the Society for Vocation Support. My assignment is to source funds for the training of our young Dominicans.

Based on this new appointment, I hereby present to you my successor in the St. Jude Apostolate, Rev. Fr. Christopher Nnamani, OP.  He joined the Dominican Order in the Year 2000 and was ordained in 2010. After his ordination, he was sent to Our Lady of Fatima Gusau, Zamfara State where he worked from 2010 - 2011. Then in 2011, Fr. Nnamani was assigned to St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, Yaba where he worked as an Associate Pastor till September 2013. Upon the opening of the first Dominican House in the Archdiocese of Benin, Fr. Nnamani was sent to serve as the Chaplain of College of Education and Director of Archdiocesan Marian Shrine; all at Eguedaiken - Ekiadolor, Benin City. Thereafter, he returned to St. Thomas Aquinas Priory, Dominican Community (the formation House), Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, where he served as the Director of Students.

He has been a sensational preacher that preached numerous Novena Masses in the Apostolate. Year 2014 (January Novena), Year 2016 (October Novena), Year 2018 (Lenten Novena) and will preach Year 2022 (January Novena) as Director of the Apostolate. Trusting in the grace of God and Fr Nnamani’s ability, I believe he is most suited to take over from me and I am so glad the Apostolate is in safe hands. I appeal to you, therefore, to give him maximum cooperation and to pray for me as my new assignment will demand a lot from me. With our Patron Saint, St. Jude Thaddeus, I will always keep you in my prayers. You have a special place in my heart. May the Almighty God, through the powerful intercession of St. Jude Thaddeus, bless you and your family. Amen.

Yours in St. Jude Thaddeus,
Rev. Fr. Moses Igwebuike Ani, OP
