Tribute to Sister Clare Crockett

Two decades ago, the young Clare Crockett joined the consecrated life as a candidate among the “Servants of the Home of the Mother”, on the day of her Patron Saint, Clare of Assisi.

At 18 years old, she traded her native Northern Ireland for Spain. Behind her back, in addition to family and friends, she left a promising career, however wanting to have started, as an Actress. As they say, with her it had to be "all or nothing." There was no room for "half measures". Through the various missions received in Spain, the United States and finally, Ecuador, she spread an overflowing and contagious joy, and the testimony of a growing dedication to generosity, never skimping on giving her best. Her secret was trying to continually respond to the love she received from God.

In April 2016, she died in an earthquake, at the age of 33, along with some young women she accompanied. This year the process of canonization of her will begin.
