If you’re sad seeing the kids of today deprived of this fount of wellness, come here let us revive our Block Rosary starting with this competition

Rev. Fr. Gabriel Okeke, who recently had a competition for in Nigeria had come up again with a competition for Block Rosary Children.

In his Facebook Post, Fr. Gabriel writes:
BLOCK ROSARY DAY: Competition
1. Today, 13th August, our Mother Mary visited the Fatima kids for the fourth time. She visited them on the 13th of every month from May to October 1917.

2. I learnt that our Block Rosaries are dying out. We will inquire for the causes, and seek solutions. The best place to raise a holy child whose faith will not be shaky in future is in the Block Rosary.

3. If you were raised by the Block Rosary, and you’re sad seeing the kids of today deprived of this fount of wellness, come here let us revive our Block Rosaries. We will start with this COMPETITION

4. They will perform two songs: 1. Ada Nke Nna, 2. The Magnificat.  It will be an easy learning, no four parts but only one. I will sing the Magnificat in a video later. The final day of the competition will be 13th October.

5. I donate 200,000 Naira for this. And I call on all of us raised by Block Rosary to donate too. All the participating Block Rosary centers will be given something, then the winners will win more.

6. If you want to donate, let us know in the comment section or write me privately. I’ll gather all the donors and publish them here; those who want to be anonymous will be written as “anonymous donated …”.

7. To join the competition or be among the propagators, please join the WhatsApp Group link in the comment section. God bless us all in Jesus name. Amen.
—Fr. Gabriel Okeke

From Fr. Gabriel's keynotes number 1, the Seers were deprived of seeing the Blessed Virgin Mary on the 13th of August by the local authority. According to Maria de Capelinha, there were unusual occurrences at the Coca da Iria that shows that the Virgin Mary came but the Seers were held captive and could not be at site of the Apparition. That is why there are two Apparitions in August - the frustrated apparition of August 13 and the unexpected apparition of August 19, where the Virgin Mary unexpectedly visited the little Seers.

Inquiring the causes in keynote 2, a comment on his Facebook Post talked about Adults being the cause.

Oluchi Kate Egbuneh said it is insecurity.

Kehinde Dominic Folarin said: In the comment section, there are no Children. All those we have here are Adults and I'm surprised that every commenter keeps saying "back then," "I can not forget my root," etc. This actually depicts that the Block Rosary is thought to be Children's Society and that as we grow to become Adults, we leave the Block Rosary.

But if we all can give our time again, although we are all busy now in our different works of life, but of we can at least dedicate a day of the Week to the Block Rosary, our presence with the kids on that day alone will have a great impact, they will always look forward to the day you'll be around, especially when you share your wealth of experiences and not just donations.

May Our Lady of Fatima grant us all our heart desires and help us to achieve our aims and may we be worthy of the promised assistance to those who spread her messages. Amen.
