I saw Jesus in the church near Medjugorje, He healed me from a serious illness

She described what he looked like and what he told her

An Eleven-year-old, Courtney Murphy from Birmingham, England, who is completely cured of Perthes disease, had a vision of the merciful Jesus in a village near Medjugorje. She witnessed the extraordinary mercy of God and the healing.

Here's her story

"In June 2009, my grandmother, Dad and I went on a pilgrimage to Medjugorje. We joined pilgrims from my grandmother's prayer group from Our Lady's Parish and All Saints in Stoutbridge. At the same time, another group of pilgrims from the parish of St. Mary of Gosport was led by Rev. Frs. Mary Gosport and Piotr Glas, a close friend of the organisers of our pilgrimage.

On Friday afternoon, after a few days in Medjugorje, the two groups arranged a joint bus trip to the nearby village of Šurmanci, a few kilometers from Medjugorje. There's a little church dedicated to St. Peter. Faustina and god's mercy, with the relics of this saint permanently displayed for adoration on the Altar. At 3p.m., we planned the Prayer of the Rosary to God's mercy, followed by Holy Mass.

We arrived in Šurmance 15 hours ago. Since we were sitting in the church, Reverend. Piotr climbed on the box and was a little worried because the microphone wasn't working. In the end, The Reverend was also successfully launched. Piotr and the faithful began the prayer, singing the Rosary to God's mercy. It was a profound experience for all of us. During this prayer, people cried. After the Reverend's prayer. Piotr celebrated the Mass. The main theme of his homily was to understand that the necessary condition for the grace of inner healing is complete trust in God, as well as love and forgiveness for all others, so as not to hold a grudge against anyone. During this Mass, an atmosphere of God's love and forgiveness filled the church.

At the end of the Mass, Rev. Fr. Piotr announced that if one of the believers has such a need, he can pray over him. We were all on our way to the Presbytery and the priest prayed over each of us.

When Rev. Fr. Piotr prayed over me, I was suddenly overcome with darkness. After a while, I saw a bright light that was getting bigger and bigger, as if it were approaching me. That's when Jesus stood before me. He was barefoot and wearing a light white robe, surrounded by a wide red belt. He had brown hair up to his shoulders and a short beard. I saw rays — blue and red — coming out of His open heart, which seemed to be surrounded by thorns. A white dove was circling above his head. I looked further and I saw a face sticking out over his shoulder. I'm not sure, but I think it was St. Faustina. That's when Jesus said to me, 'Believe in me. Never get away from me.'

After I saw that, I found myself back in the church. Before Holy Mass, I had severe pain in my leg and back: I had incurable Perthes disease (femur necrosis) and walked on crutches. After Holy Mass, there was prayers over me and priesthood blessings and the pain is completely gone and has not yet returned. When I left the church, I told my grandmother everything that had happened to me: that I felt completely healthy, that I had thrown Crutches away and that I could walk and run normally.

Father Piotr did not know me and did not know it, and in prayer I was fully healed. The next day, when he met our pilgrimage leader, he told him that he had experienced something strange when he prayed, he thought, over some boy (because I had short hair): that he could not take his hands off him as if they had been imposed on him for a particular purpose. On his way back from Medjugorje, he learned that the boy was me – a girl of eleven years.

I note, I suffered from Perthes disease, which has particularly affected my hips and lower back for some time. I had to use crutches to relieve the pressure on my legs and hips. After my encounter with Christ, when Reverend John McCain was born. Piotr prayed over me, I no longer felt pain in my back and legs."

Father Piotr is in constant contact with Courtney and her parents who live in Birmingham. It turns out that the girl develops normally. There was no sign of her illness anymore. He swims and runs marathons. Another miracle that has touched the Courtney family is her mother's conversion. When the girl went to Medjugorje with her grandmother and father in 2009, her parents did not live together, and her mother was not Catholic. After her daughter was healed, she returned to her husband and was baptized into the Catholic Church. Courtney never part with Saint Faustina and speaks of God's mercy all the time. The words Jesus said to her are undoubtedly addressed to each of us: Believe in me. I'm never sick of me'
